A video clip purportedly filmed by South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun at the residence of actress Kim Sae Ron was released on Tuesday. The footage aims to support claims from Kim Sae Ron's family that Kim Soo Hyun visited her home and to substantiate their relationship.
The release follows a 12-page statement from Gold Medalist, Kim Soo Hyun's agency, which denied various allegations concerning their relationship, including claims that requested the actress repay her debt and deny Kim Soo Hyun had visited her home.
In the newly unveiled footage, a male voice, identified by Kim Sae Ron's family as belonging to Kim Soo Hyun, can be heard. The man is seen patting Kim Sae Ron's back.
The two also engaged in casual conversation while watching a television show.
Kim Soo Hyun faced controversy after Kim Sae Ron's family alleged that he dated her when she was a minor. The family also plans to conduct digital forensics on images of the two to verify the nature of their relationship during that time.
Additionally, Kim Soo Hyun may be required to compensate approximately 200 billion Korean won in breach of contract penalties, as several brands have severed ties with him amid the controversy.
