HashKey Exchange, a licensed virtual asset trading platform in Hong Kong, has submitted listing applications for four more cryptocurrencies to the Securities and Futures Commission. HashKey was earlier this month given approval by the SFC to operate a virtual asset trading platform for professional investors.
Chief operating officer Livio Weng said the platform is now awaiting further inquiries and approval from the SFC, and hopes retail trading may be possible next year.

The platform has seen daily trading volume surpass US$1 billion (HK$7.8 billion), with registered users exceeding 120,000. Currently, retail investors can only invest in bitcoin and ethereum on the platform.
