Hang Seng Index dips in early trading on Tuesday

The Hang Seng Index slid in the early morning trading session on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dipped by 89 points, or 0.4 percent to 24,828 points. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index rose by 0.5 percent to around 4,340 points.

South Korea's KOSPI recorded a 0.2 percent dip while Japan's Nikkei edged higher after reversing early losses.
