Hang Seng Index plunges 300 points in early trading on Wednesday

The Hang Seng Index plunged in the early morning trading session on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index slumped by 303 points to 26,183 points. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index was down by 1.8 percent to around 4,970 points.
