Macau gaming giant Sands China net income falls 13pc in Q2

Sands China (1928) posted a 13 percent drop in net income to US$214 million (HK$1.67 billion) in the second quarter of the year. 

Net revenue for the Macau gaming giant rose by 2.5 percent to US$1.79 billion. Adjusted property earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization was US$566 million for the quarter, compared to US$561 million 12 months ago. 

Robert Goldstein, chairman and chief of Las Vegas Sands, the parent company of Sands China, said he hopes the Macau business will achieve a quarterly adjusted property EBITDA run rate of US$600–650 million and an annual rate of US$2.6–2.7 billion, possibly during the period 2025–2027, according a filing on Thursday.
