Charlene Choi of Cantopop girl group Twins has officially confirmed her relationship with fitness coach Elvis Lam, ending months of speculation.
The singer-actress made the revelation at a fan event at a tea store in Tsim Sha Tsui on Tuesday (Jan 13), where nearly 1,000 fans turned up.
It was the first public appearance by Choi and Gillian Chung together since performing at Kenny Kwan’s concert last year. Fans waved banners and cameras, creating a lively scene at the mall.
Choi, who recently split from wealthy heir Anthony, had been linked to Lam, 10 years her junior. On the rumors, she said: “You can take the word ‘rumor’ off now!”
She added that Lam had inspired her to take up hiking and adopt a healthier lifestyle. Asked jokingly about “happy weight gain,” Choi said: “I’m very happy, that’s all I’ll say!”
Lam also attended her birthday party last year, taking center stage — a clear sign the couple’s relationship is steady.
