Heavy rains hit Gansu, hail strike some areas

Heavy rainfall has recently affected Gansu Province, accompanied by hail in certain regions due to the influence of a cold front. 

Temperatures in most areas of the province have experienced a significant decline since Saturday evening, while the meteorological authorities have issued a red warning for heavy rain.

Yanzhi Town recorded the highest rainfall, totaling 75 millimeters. Notably, the largest hailstone was measured over 1 centimeter in diameter, and the accumulation of hail on the ground reached a thickness of 10 centimeters.

The severe weather also caused several farmhouses to collapse and damaged various plots of farmland.

While the heavy rainfall did not result in any casualties, the hail has adversely impacted agricultural production.
