Cold front brings in showers and cooler temperatures

A cold front currently stretching from the inland areas to the eastern coast of Guangdong is expected to move across the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary later today and overnight. 

This transition will bring a few showers locally, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms later on.

Under the influence of the northeast monsoon associated with the cold front, the weather will become cool appreciably tonight.

Over the weekend, a few rain patches are expected. Minimum temperatures are predicted to hover around 15 to 16 degrees Celsius in urban areas, with temperatures a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.

Members of the public are advised to be aware of the change in weather and keep warm.
