The Central and Western District Office said it received a report from the contractor on Monday (Sep 16).
The USB contains the name of the organization, booking date and time of the event, and names as well as phone numbers of the contact persons for the 306 applicants.
The District Office said that the data involved did not include any identity card numbers or other personal identifiers.
The Office said it had engaged Synergis Facility Management Limited to assist in managing the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex Community Hall and handling the booking applications for the use of the Hall and its facility from September 2022 to August 2025.
Upon receiving the report, it immediately suspended the contractor from handling the booking applications for the Community Hall and its facility.
The Office apologizes to the persons affected for any inconvenience caused and will follow up to prevent the reoccurrence of similar incidents.
The Home Affairs Department said it will not allow the contractor to bid on any other projects until it has taken satisfactory measures.
