The announcement comes as World Rugby confirmed the schedule for the HSBC Sevens Series, which will also be held in Dubai, Cape Town, Perth, and Vancouver.
"The Hong Kong Sevens is a fan-favorite on the HSBC SVNS Series," HKCR Chairman Chris Brooke said. "Thanks to World Rugby for yet again confirming Hong Kong as an integral part of the SVNS success story."
HKCR Chief Executive Officer James Farndon mentioned that the early announcement of the tournament provided good lead time for international fans to plan their trips and book flights and accommodation, as around one-third of the ticket holders for the event last year came from overseas.
"It is our wish to stage the 2025 Sevens at Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP)," Farndon stated when discussing the venue arrangements for the 2025 event. "We are working very closely with the KTSP team to make that happen."
Additional information on the coming Hong Kong Sevens will be released in the coming months, and tickets will be available for purchase in early November.
