Partial power outage in Wong Tai Sin after cable fault

Residents in Wong Tai Sin experienced a partial power outage due to a fault in the underground cable owned by CLP Power.

The incident happened at around 8 pm on Wednesday, affecting residents of Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate and Lions Rise. Some said that the whole block was out of power. 

CLP said there was a failure at a set of 11kV high-voltage cables, resulting in the district's power outage. 

The power giant said emergency repairs are underway and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
