Waiter pleads guilty to sexual intercourse with younger sister at Siu Sai Wan home

A 30-year-old waiter will be sentenced next Monday after he pleaded guilty to incest in the High Court on Friday for having sex with his younger sister aged about 14 to 15 at their Siu Sai Wan home about five to seven years ago. 

The defendant – identified as “T.T.C.” – appeared before judge Johnny Chan Jong-herng today and admitted to four counts of incest with a girl under 16. Another eight counts of rape and attempted rape were all left on court file. 

The court heard that TTC was aged 18 when he arrived in Hong Kong from the mainland after graduating from high school. He lived with his mother and sister “X” at their Siu Sai Wan home and his father passed away in 2017. 

One day between 2017 and 2019, 24-year-old TTC and 14-year-old X were watching a movie on the couch at home with no other adults around. TTC then further approached X, expressed his sexual desire triggered by the closeness between them. 

TTC starting touching X and they ended up having unprotected sex. The duo pretended like nothing happened afterwards and TTC believed X didn’t resist because she didn’t know what he was doing. 

After TTC broke up with his girlfriend around November to December 2019, he again had sex with X three times in one month. TTC didn’t use protection nor ejaculate all three times, the court also heard. 

TTC was finally arrested at Siu Sai Wan Plaza on December 20, 2021. Under police caution, he admitted he had slept with X before. 

In mitigation, the defense said the relationship between TTC and X was too close that it crossed a line. Yet, this statement was challenged by judge Chan who referred to a trauma report that said X was scarred. 

Chan then adjourned the case on next Monday (May 6) to pass down the sentence. TTC will continue to be on remand.
