Disappeared Rabbit N Radish director arrested, over 100 victims

Customs announced on Thursday that they have arrested the director of the online store Rabbit N Radish, which had previously closed down with customers unable to receive their products or obtain a refund.

The online store has closed since February, with the registered location of the store also being vacant, leaving many customers without their items or refunds.

A customs spokesman announced today that they are investigating the incident and have arrested the 65-year-old director on suspicion of malpractice.

It is understood that he is the only director of the company and is currently out on bail pending further investigation.

The customs spokesman stated that since early March, they have been receiving various complaints from citizens regarding the incident, with a total of 164 reports to date.

The reports claim a total loss of about HK$170,000, with one case suffering the largest cost of HK$20,000, consisting of items ranging from clothes, cosmetics, health supplements, etc.

Customs have already contacted the victims in order to receive their statements.

Customs stressed that they are closely following the incident and do not rule out the possibility that more arrests could be made.

They urge residents to call 2545 6182 or email crimereport@customs.gov.hk to report the incident if they have bought items from the online store and have still not received the product.
