Hong Kong prospect Sun Ming-him seals move to Chinese Super League club
Hong Kong’s football prospect Sun Ming-him, who was twice named the city’s young player of the season in the Hong Kong Premier League, has sealed his move to the Chinese Super League side Cangzhou Mighty Lions.
Sun, 23, showcased his versatility when he represented the Hong Kong senior team at the AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. His work ethic and adaptability have also been recognized by the Hong Kong team's coach Jorn Andersen.
Playing primarily as a forward, Sun proved himself by emerging as the top local scorer in the Hong Kong Premier League last season, netting an impressive 14 goals.
Announcing the transfer, Cangzhou Mighty Lions described Sun as a humble player who is fiercely competitive on the field. Sun will don the number 32 shirt in the coming season.
Meanwhile, Sun’s Hong Kong teammate Oliver Gerbig, completed a deadline-beating transfer from Kitchee to Henan FC late on Wednesday night.
It was said that the 25-year-old defender joined the Chinese side for a transfer fee of RMB$1 million.
