The Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, Xia Baolong, visited Sham Shui Po and Wong Tai Sin districts on Sunday to inspect the city's district governance.

Accompanied by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu and other officials, Xia enjoyed dim sum at a Chinese restaurant in Wong Tai Sin on the fourth day of his weeklong visit to Hong Kong.
The top Beijing official in charge of the city's affairs also chatted with some residents to learn about their livelihood issues and the situation of the district.
Xia then visited the Sham Shui Po Community Living Room and listened to parents in need to share their views on the targeted poverty alleviation measures.
He chatted with some children in the Community Living Room about their schoolwork and learning progress.
Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk-han said Xia is impressed with the SAR government’s work to aid the underprivileged via its community space initiative.
Sun added that Xia encouraged the authorities to push ahead with the effort and do more to help those in need.
