A police officer was charged with three counts of fraud for concealing financial information when applying for loans on three separate occasions.

On November 21, officers of the Financial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau arrested a 24-year-old male police officer in Tin Shui Wai on suspicion of fraud.
He was suspected of concealing his personal financial status when applying for loans from three financial companies from June 14 to 16.
The case involved approximately HK$1.05 million.
After consulting legal advice, the arrested man was charged with three counts of fraud.
The case was brought to Eastern Magistrates' Courts this morning.
It is understood that the man was an off-duty officer from the Yuen Long police district and has now been suspended from his duties.
The police spokesman stated that the force attaches great importance to the integrity of its personnel, and any personnel who commits illegal acts will not be tolerated by the force and will be dealt with severely.
