Driver dies after flipping vehicle in Penny's Bay crash

A taxi driver has died after crashing into a barrier and flipping his vehicle in Penny's Bay early Monday morning.  

Around 3 am, a taxi driver was driving toward Hong Kong Disneyland when he lost control of his vehicle upon entering the Magic Road roundabout, crashing into a road sign and a planter before rolling the car.  

The driver sustained multiple injuries to his body and was trapped inside the vehicle.  

Paramedics arrived at the scene, rescued the trapped driver from the vehicle, and rushed him to the hospital for urgent medical attention.  

However, he was pronounced dead an hour later.  

It is understood that the 30-year-old driver was an engineer who worked as a taxi driver during the weekends.  

The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.  

Another incident had previously occurred on October 26 in which five people were taken to two hospitals after two taxis collided at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort located in Penny's Bay, where one driver was later declared dead.
