The K11 Group and the U.S. technology enterprise Falcon's Beyond announced the establishment of a first-ever virtual deep-ocean adventure experience in Hong Kong to provide the public with an immersive virtual journey.
The "Vquarium" will open in 2025 in 11 SKIES - the city's latest retail, dining and entertainment landmark near the airport – and become one of the world-class and first-in-Hong Kong entertainment attractions.
The Vquarium is divided into three levels with several themed zones, reaching a vertical space of up to 13 meters to create a sense of a deep-ocean environment. Utilizing dynamic simulators with special effects and Mixed Reality (MR) technology, it enhances interactive and immersive experiences for different ages of visitors.
Visitors will experience the sensation of acting as an explorer on board a deep-ocean exploration submersible to explore the fantastical underwater world and delve into depths of the ocean that are otherwise unreachable to humans.
During the virtual journey, they may encounter rare marine animals and unique maritime sceneries. Visitors can also learn about marine life and the significance of conservation.
Following its debut in 11 SKIES, the Vquarium plans to expand to more locations across China in the following years.
