Tutor arrested for sexually harassing two brothers in Mei Foo

A male tutor in Mei Foo was arrested for sexually harassing a pair of brothers multiple times over the past two years.

The 43-year-old defendant, Yu, appeared for his hearing today at the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts. No plea was taken yet.

According to the court, the two boys, aged nine and 12, refused to go to the tutorial school last Thursday (Aug 24) and revealed to their relatives that they had been harassed by the teacher multiple times during lessons from October 2021 to August this year. 

The relatives contacted the police, and the West Kowloon police next day arrested the tutor, who admitted his crime under police interrogation. Officers seized three phones and electronic devices, discovering additional videos and photos related to the incident.

The police did not rule out the possibility of more victims and believed the tutor did not have other accomplices.

It is understood that the tutorial school, located at Mei Foo Sun Chuen, has over 70 students. The school announced on Monday that it is closing down due to the incident, according to the posted note at its door.
