Macau's government said on Thursday that international arrivals, including from Hong Kong and Taiwan, do not need to do nucleic acid tests upon arrival from December 23.
According to official statements released Thursday night, travelers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas will no longer be required to observe five days of isolation at homes or hotels, or undergo PCR tests.
Instead, they will be given a yellow code, during which they are allowed to move around but have to avoid gatherings.
They must also take daily rapid tests and upload their results to an online platform.
After uploading the negative rapid test result on the fifth day, travelers will be given a green health code.
If travelers test positive for Covid within these five days, their will get a red health code and must observe home isolation.
