Drivers reckon their travel time has been reduced by about 20 minutes through the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok route, which opened for road traffic at 8:00am today.

Drivers ae not required to pay tolls on the 5.5-kilometer new connection.
The distance between Tuen Mun South and Hong Kong International Airport has been reduced by about 22 kilometers as a result of the new link.
The northern connection of the link connects Tuen Mun South and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge port area with a five-kilometer lundersea tunnel.
Some drivers had arrived early on the Tuen Mun side of the link. One had arrived at 4:00am to be at the head of the line.
