A jobless man, 23, accused of trafficking 8.2 kilograms of cocaine, worth about HK$8 million, appeared at the Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts today.
On Tuesday, he was intercepted at Tin Sam Tsuen in Sha Tin when pushing a trolley. The suspected cocaine were found concealed inside durian seeds stored inside nearly 100 lunch boxes placed in five polyfoam boxes and one rice bag on the trolley.
The case was adjourned until October 5 for the government laboratory report and the defendant was remanded in custody.
