Jamal Murray sank a 15-foot step-back jumper at the buzzer and the Denver Nuggets wiped out a 20-point second-half deficit to stun the Los Angeles Lakers 101-99 and take a 2-0 lead in their NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series.
Murray's buzzer-beater extended the reigning champions' winning streak over the Lakers to 10 games.
The best-of-seven series shifts to LA for Game Three on Friday (HK time).
With the game tied at 99-99, LeBron James misfired from long range with 16 seconds left. Michael Porter Jr grabbed the rebound, with Murray taking the ball and then hitting the winning shot over Anthony Davis as the buzzer sounded.
"I told my teammates when I was struggling, 'I'm gonna look for y'all'," Murray said. "And every single one of them told me to keep shooting."
Murray finished with 20 points, and Nikola Jokic posted a triple-double with 27 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists.
Davis led the Lakers with 32 points, James had 26 and D'Angelo Russell 23.
Denver's win followed a dramatic comeback at home by the New York Knicks, who scored eight points in the final half-minute to stun the Philadelphia 76ers 104-101 for a 2-0 series lead.
It was a crushing defeat for the 76ers, who were up by five points with less than one minute to play. They were furious that officials failed to respond to their calls for a time-out in the critical seconds, with center Joel Embiid adding a jab over missed foul calls.
Donte DiVincenzo capped a chaotic possession with a three-pointer that put the Knicks up for good at 102-101.
In Cleveland, the Cavaliers cruised to a 96-86 victory over the Orlando Magic for a 2-0 series lead.
