Swire bags awards for green financing

Swire Properties has won four green financing awards, including the launch of Hong Kong's first corporate public green dim sum bonds of 3.2 billion yuan (HK$3.47 billion) last year.

The developer was recognized as the Best ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Issuer in Asia at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2023, topping over 680 high-caliber organizations. The green dim sum bond offering also received three awards at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2023, the IFR Asia Awards 2023 and the Asset Triple A Awards 2024. Swire Properties will continue to pursue its target of a minimum of 80 percent of bond and loan facilities from green financing by 2030.

Since 2018, green financing has accounted for about 60 percent of the company's overall bond and loan facilities - with green and sustainability-linked loan facilities totaling HK$21 billion and green bonds totaling HK$11.9 billion.
