Mural brightens CLP Mong Kok substation

CLP Power teamed up with the Yau Tsim Mong District Office and community groups to transform a substation on Shanghai Street in Mong Kok by painting murals.

Teenagers from the Yau Tsim Mong District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee's Youth Committee along with members of NGO SideBySide and the CLP volunteer team painted murals which combine district characteristics with green elements on the wall of the substation.

CLP Power Chief Corporate Development Officer Quince Chong Wai-yan said this is the company's third substation beautification project.

"We believe beautifying the community through art not only creates a vibrant community spirit but also enhances people's awareness of the importance of energy conservation and decarbonization," Chong said.

Yau Tsim Mong District Officer Edward Yu Kin-keung said: "This joint project with CLP power provides a platform for young people to inject energy and vitality into our community through their creativity."
