SenseTime smartens up 20 car models

SenseTime (0020) said its artificial intelligence-powered service output platform SenseAuto has been used in over 20 mass-production models this year.

This includes the two SUV models from GAC Trumpchi, which recently adopted the SenseAuto smart cabin system.

The AI platform developed a series of smart functions for the family SUV model of GAC Trumpchi, including the "front seat warning for children," the "automatic control of child lock" and the "alert" when children are left unattended in the vehicle.

SenseAuto also provides new functions covering drowsiness relief, distraction alert, highway ramp alert, background noise reduction during calls, intelligent ventilation and gesture recognition.

SenseTime's shares slightly increased by 0.5 percent and closed at HK$7.98 in Hong Kong yesterday.

Other automobile stocks were mixed.

XPeng (9868) led the growth as the stock jumped by 4.72 percent to HK$38.85, while Nio (9866), Great Wall Motor (2333) and Li Auto (2015) rose by 0.06 percent, 1.38 percent and 1.86 percent respectively to HK$86.4, HK$10.26 and HK$79.3.

However, shares of Brilliance China Automotive (1114) and Geely Automobile (0175) fell by 0.46 percent and 0.52 percent respectively to HK$4.35 and HK$11.56.
