A two-day talent summit and career expo will be held on May 7 and 8 to highlight Hong Kong's dual role as an international talent hub and a gateway for talent.
Organized by Hong Kong Talent Engage, the summit will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring international and mainland leaders from political, academic, business and other sectors, exchanging views on trends and experiences.
"Not only talent, but undergraduate students and people looking for employment information are all welcome to attend with free admission," HKTE director Anthony Lau Chun-hon said yesterday.
Part of the event, the Power of Global Talent forum on May 7 and the Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-quality Talent Development Conference on May 8, will see 20 guests from leading firms, human resource organizations, or entrepreneurs sharing their views on the global job market and talent movement trends.
The events will be broadcast to engage global audiences with the developments in Hong Kong.

Lau said: "Talents at the expo can get to know about relevant information on job search, working or starting a business in Hong Kong as well as the latest skill demands of different sectors and professions.
"Although the event is not designed for recruitment but for participating organizations to share company profiles and information, they can still exchange contacts."
Regarding imported the employment situation of imported talent, he said they are mainly engaged in finance, technology and trading.
Talent who have immigrated with their families were most concerned about children's education in Hong Kong, followed by employment opportunities and housing needs, Lau said, adding that HKTE has partnered with various stakeholders to help address such issues.
"Most talent are also interested in tips on everyday life here in Hong Kong. They want more opportunities to learn Cantonese and practice the language," he said, adding that Cantonese classes received an overwhelming response.
