The Consumer Council will hold a series of events based on the theme Smart Consumption: Fuelling the Economy to celebrate its 50th anniversary.The two-day family-friendly carnival to be held in The Wai in Tai Wai between March 16-17 features five booth games designed to educate people about consumer rights.
Festivities open with the 315 Consumer Rights Week, held for the first time to echo the World Consumer Rights Day on March 15.

Upon collecting five stamps by successfully completing all the games and following the council's social media, participants can enter a grand draw for a chance to take home one of over 70 Choice Magazine test samples as well as the council's 50th anniversary souvenirs.
The Consumer Rights Week will also feature activities including seminars - offline and online via Zoom - on fair use of artificial intelligence, fintech and information about common types of online scams and preventive measures.
