Orbis' Flying Eye Hospital is landing in Hong Kong between February 22 and March 3 so people can learn more about its work on saving sight and back the program.
The aircraft-mounted hospital has sections including classrooms, operating rooms, audiovisual rooms and recovery rooms.
It lands eight years after its last visit in the SAR, and Hong Kong is also the third stop on the first global trip since the pandemic. The crew visited Vietnam and Zambia in Africa last year and will head to Mongolia after visiting Hong Kong.
Among the crew, Hong Kong ophthalmologist Timothy Lai will be back in his hometown to share experiences in training local doctors and performing surgery in various countries.
People are welcome to get on board and interact with the crew to learn more.
