Dinosaurs will soon be roaring in Hong Kong mailboxes, but they'll be small and akin to paper tigers. The stamps feature seven species of dinosaurs from the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods. They include Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, Triceratops, Diplodocus and Allosaurus - favorites so old that they are of course extinct.
For Hongkong Post is issuing a set of six stamps plus a souvenir sheet and associated philatelic products with the theme of Dinosaurs.

First day covers go on sale at all post offices from today and online through ShopThruPost (shopthrupost.hongkongpost.hk).
Sets are on sale from November 15 at all post offices and ShopThruPost from November 15, while serviced first day covers plus prepaid picture cards will be available at philatelic offices only.
A date-stamping service will be provided on that day at all post offices for official first day covers, souvenir covers, and privately made covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address.
