An electric car was filmed driving along Jardine's Crescent in Causeway Bay, a street designated as a full-time pedestrian zone since October 2006, weaving close to pedestrians in a clip that has sparked online debate.
The 23-minute video, taken by a pedestrian, shows the silver car moving slowly along the street with its left indicator on before accelerating near Jardine's Bazaar, passing within close proximity of about three to four pedestrians.
The street features a sign near Kai Chiu Road indicating restricted access with permits. The video has drawn mixed reactions online, with some questioning whether the car had a permit and others debating the road's status.
