Japanese woman robbed in Tsim Sha Tsui hotel room, $15,000 stolen

A 19-year-old Japanese woman was robbed in her Tsim Sha Tsui hotel room on Monday night after a man forced his way in and stole about HK$15,000 in cash, police said.

The incident occurred around 9.35pm at a hotel on Nathan Road. The woman opened the door after hearing the doorbell ring, and a man rushed into the room, put her in a chokehold and fled with the cash.

The victim suffered neck injuries and was treated at the scene. Police are searching for a man aged between 30 and 40.
