Burglars target Tai Po detached house, steal wine, Moutai and tea collection

Burglars broke into a detached house at Mayfair By The Sea on Fo Chun Road in Tai Po on Wednesday afternoon, forcing open a back door and ransacking the property, police said.

Police received a report from a 53-year-old female resident, surnamed Chiu, at 5.47pm. Initial investigations found valuables missing, including fine wine, Moutai liquor and a collection of tea leaves. The total value of the loss is still being calculated.

The case has been classified as burglary and is being handled by the Tai Po district criminal investigation team. No arrests have been made.
