Man, 30, arrested for managing Mong Kok vice establishment

A 30-year-old local man was arrested on Monday for allegedly managing a suspected vice establishment on Shanghai Street in Mong Kok, police said.

Officers from the Mong Kok district special duty squad conducted a raid under Operation STEMPICKER, seizing account books, condoms, towels and other evidence at the unit.

The man, surnamed Chan, has been charged with one count of "managing a vice establishment." His case will be heard at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on May 22.

Under Section 139 of the Crimes Ordinance, anyone who operates, manages or otherwise controls a vice establishment faces up to 10 years imprisonment upon conviction.
