(Video) Electric bicycle bursts into flames in Tsim Sha Tsui, no injuries

An electric bicycle caught fire in Tsim Sha Tsui on Tuesday night, sending flames and thick smoke into the air, but no one was injured.

The incident occurred around 11.18pm at the junction of Prat Avenue and Hart Avenue. Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Online footage shows the rear of the bicycle engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing. The fire intensified at one point, accompanied by popping sounds, believed to be caused by the battery heating up.

Bystanders were heard urging others to keep their distance, with one saying: "Don't get too close! Has anyone called the police?"
