A container truck driver was left unconscious after his vehicle crashed into a fire engine and overturned on Tuen Mun Road on Monday (Mar 23).
The accident happened at about 12.15pm on the Kowloon-bound carriageway near So Kwun Wat.
The truck reportedly collided with the rear of a fire engine that had stopped in the slow lane for operations, causing it to overturn and block multiple lanes.
Firefighters rescued the trapped driver, who was sent to hospital for emergency treatment.
At the scene, the truck’s windshield was shattered and its container deformed, with debris scattered across the road and an apparent oil leak. The fire engine also sustained rear damage.
The accident is under investigation.
