A 37-year-old police officer has been charged with 12 counts of "accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent" after allegedly accessing police case management and investigation system data without authorization.

Police launched an investigation following a complaint, which revealed the officer had accessed the system multiple times without authorization on February 6, 2025. After seeking legal advice, he was arrested on February 25, 2026.
The officer, who is attached to the Western District division, has been suspended from duty. His case will be heard at Eastern Magistrates' Courts on Wednesday.
Police emphasized that the force places great importance on officers' conduct and will not tolerate or condone any illegal behavior, handling such matters strictly.
