Car crashes into shopfront on Bonham Road after suspected loss of control

A private car suspected of losing control crashed into a shopfront and pavement railings on Bonham Road near Ning Yeung Terrace in Sai Ying Pun on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at around 10pm. The vehicle's fuel leaked and the shop's main entrance was severely damaged, leaving a large amount of debris scattered on the road.

The male driver, who remained conscious, reported the incident himself. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene for rescue and investigation work. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
