(Video) Woman driver apologises after car, taxi collide in Sha Tin

A woman driver, possibly a learner, apologized after her car collided with a taxi in Sha Tin on Sunday, sending both vehicles into railings.

The incident occurred around 12.26pm when the car, traveling on Ngau Pei Sha Street toward the driving school, turned into Tsui Hing Street and hit the taxi. Both vehicles then swerved into roadside railings, with pedestrians dodging in time.

Footage from the car's camera showed a male passenger telling the woman driver to turn before the crash, then instructing her to stop afterward. The driver said: "Sorry, sir."

Emergency services were called amid reports someone was trapped, but no one was found stuck. The 54-year-old woman driver, surnamed Lam, complained of chest pain and was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating the cause.
