The operation from December 25 to 28 involves the regional patrol contingent's field patrol team, district task forces from Western, Central, Wan Chai, Eastern and Water Police South districts, patrol subunits, the regional drone team, the police tactical unit and the Government Flying Service.
Officers are conducting high-profile patrols of slopes and wooded areas near residential estates, including Mid-Levels countryside and Southern District waters. They will set up checkpoints at various times and locations to stop suspicious vehicles and people.
The police drone team and the flying service will conduct night patrols in the airspace above these areas to enhance enforcement.
