Police lose handcuffs in Tuen Mun, appeal for return

A police officer lost a pair of handcuffs while on duty in Tuen Mun last weekend.

The officer from the Tuen Mun division patrol subunit mislaid the equipment during operations on December 7 and 8. Police conducted a search in the area after the loss was reported but the handcuffs were not found.

The case has been classified as lost government property and is being investigated by Tuen Mun division.

Police urged anyone who finds the handcuffs to call 999 or hand them in to the nearest police station. The force said it has strict regulations governing the storage and use of equipment and will follow up on the incident.
