(Video) Billboard fire at Lee Theatre Plaza prompts road closures in Causeway Bay

A massive billboard caught fire outside Lee Theatre Plaza in Causeway Bay on Tuesday afternoon, sending thick plumes of smoke billowing over the streets. 

The blaze broke out around 12.53pm on Percival Street, with witnesses reporting flames reaching several stories high. 

Firefighters rushed to the scene and deployed a breathing apparatus team and one water jet to extinguish the fire.

No injuries have been reported in the fire so far. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Transport Department announced a full closure of Matheson Street due to the emergency, warning of heavy traffic in the area.
