The Education Bureau has announced class suspensions for morning and full-day kindergartens, schools for children with physical disabilities, and schools for children with intellectual disabilities on Wednesday due to the No. 3 Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal.
If the Observatory cancels the No. 3 signal before 10:30am, afternoon kindergarten classes will resume today unless otherwise notified. Classes for other day schools, including primary and secondary schools, and evening schools will resume as scheduled.
Schools where premises or surrounding environments require cleaning or repairs may decide whether to suspend classes based on their specific circumstances, notifying parents and students promptly. All schools should maintain open premises under safe conditions and assign staff to care for students needing to return to school, following established contingency guidelines.
Parents are advised to consider home conditions, road situations, and district weather when deciding whether to send children to school.
