The public transport services are gradually resuming as the Observatory lowered the No.8 Storm Signal to the Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 at 1.10pm on Monday.
In anticipation of increased passenger traffic, the MTR has announced enhancements to train frequencies, while its bus services will resume following the issuance of the Strong Wind Signal No.3.
Most daytime bus routes operated by Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) and Long Win Bus (LWB) are expected to resume services starting at 12.30 pm.
However, KMB route 203R and HK1 remain temporarily suspended until further notice.
Considering the bus services will resume from noon to meet the increased commuting demand, Citybus advises passengers to use the Citybus mobile app and website for real-time updates on individual bus routes.
While the High Speed Rail service continues to operate normally, Mainland Railway Authorities have announced that the destination of High Speed Rail train G6048/G6047, traveling between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Zhanjianxi Station, will now terminate at Guangzhonan Station due to adverse weather conditions.
Passengers are encouraged to refer to the 12306 official website or mobile app for the latest train schedules.
Ferry services will begin to resume around an hour after the storm signal downgrade.
Notably, the Star Ferry will resume operations starting at 2.40 pm for routes between Tsim Sha Tsui and Central.
Sun Ferry has also announced that its Central-Cheung Chau service will begin at 2.45 pm, with the first ferry from Mui Wo to Central departing at 2.50 pm.
