Octopus handheld device stolen from multiple red minibuses in Yau Ma Tei overnight

Police are investigating the theft of multiple Octopus handheld devices from red minibuses parked near Nathan Road in Yau Ma Tei during the early hours of Monday. 

Officers received reports around midnight indicating several e-payment devices had gone missing from vehicles stationed on Nanking Street adjacent to the major thoroughfare.

The case has been classified as "theft from vehicle" with no arrests made thus far. The incident highlights ongoing security concerns for public transportation operators who rely on electronic payment systems for daily operations.
