ACGHK thrives on last day despite black rainstorm signal

The 26th Hong Kong Ani-Com & Games (ACGHK) was conducted as scheduled, despite the issuance of a black rainstorm signal, with the venue opening its gates to visitors at 10am.

Amid the inclement weather, a cosplayer said she woke up at 4am to prepare for the event and arrived at 8am when the rain in Wan Chai was relatively light.

She noted that the final day of the fair is typically vibrant, as attendees often return to purchase their favorite merchandise.

An anime enthusiast said today marked her third day attending the fair and expressed a desire to acquire products available at significant discounts.

She observed that the implementation of one-way measures this year hindered visitors' ability to compare merchandise effectively, despite the enjoyable atmosphere.

In addition, the exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the fair proceeding as planned. They acknowledged that visitor spending tended to be more conservative despite high attendance figures.

One remarked that her stall would not participate in price reduction promotions, although the fair will conclude today at 8pm.

However, another exhibitor selling mascots expressed concern that the extreme weather would impact his business, revealing that he had recorded a 10 percent loss compared to last year.
