The Shandong aircraft carrier of the People's Liberation Army is scheduled to visit Hong Kong for five days, commencing on Thursday (Jul 3). For individuals who are unable to secure tour tickets, there remain opportunities to observe the vessel from a distance.
By utilizing binoculars or telephoto lenses, one may enhance their chances of obtaining a distant view of the carrier from the following six optimal viewing locations.

Southwest end of Tsing Yi (along Tsing Yi Road)
Closest to the Shandong aircraft carrier with a clear view, suitable for close-up photography.
Transportation: Bus: 948, 42A, 241X, 42C, 43B, 43M, 243M, 249M, 88A, 88D, 88F (alight from the Tsing Yi Station and walk to Tsing Yi Road)

Tai Pai Tsui Ferry Pier, Ma Wan
Located between Tsing Yi and Lantau Island, the pier has a spacious view and a nice photography angle.

Ferry: Central Pier No. 2 (30 minutes to 60 minutes/trip on weekdays, one hour/trip on holidays) Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier (3 trips daily: 10:35, 13:35, 16:35)
Bus: NR330, NR331, NR331S, NR332 (Tsing Yi/Tsuen Wan/Kwai Fong Stations, every ten minutes on weekdays, six minutes on holidays

Disneyland Pier and Waterfront Promenade
Located in Southeast Lantau Island, with a view of the hull of the Shandong vessel, suitable for those who visit Disneyland on the same day.
Transportation: MTR Disneyland Resort Station, then walk to the pier or the waterfront promenade
Located at the southwest of the Shandong aircraft carrier, the spot has a wide view of the entire ship.
Transportation: Take a ferry from Central Pier No. 6 (about 40 minutes for ordinary ferries, and 25 to 30 minutes for fast ferries). Walking is required to go up the hill, wear comfortable footwear and bring binoculars

International Commerce Centre (ICC)
The tallest building located on the western part of Victoria Harbour, with a high angle view of the Shandong carrier task group and the surrounding waters
Transportation:
Bus: 215X, 280X, 50, 904, 930, 930X, A12 (get off at Kowloon Station)
MTR: Kowloon Station or Austin Station and walk to ICC
Open view of the western part of Hong Kong Island, suitable for those who do not want to travel long distance, while telescopes are required for longer distance
Transportation: Bus: 5B, 971, A10, 54, 58 (get off at Mount Davis Station)
