Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu emphasized on Tuesday that all corporate box ticket leases at Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) must strictly adhere to the venue's rental terms, which strictly prohibit the resale of tickets in any form.
His remarks followed an exclusive report by Sing Tao Daily last Friday (May 16), which exposed scalpers reselling corporate box tickets of the Taiwanese band Mayday's concert to approximately 20 individuals.
Lee said that both the government and the management of the Park are taking the matter seriously. He welcomed residents' active participation in the Park's events, adding that he has instructed the Park, via the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, to take prompt action.
KTSP stated that it would address the situation seriously, including notifying all corporate box ticket-holders that ticket transfers are strictly prohibited and warning them that violators would be held accountable.
Lee also urged the Park's management to optimize ticketing procedures, ensuring clearer and more transparent information for the public.
