Drunk minibus driver arrested after crashing in Kwun Tong

A seven-seater was struck by a green minibus in Kwun Tong this morning and the minibus driver, in his 70s, was arrested after failing the alcohol breath test almost at twice the limit. No casualties were reported.

The accident happened at 8.53 am when a Route 36A minibus approached Yue Man Square Public Transport Interchange. 

The minibus driver failed the alcohol breath test with a reading of 60 micrograms per 100 milliliter, exceeding the statutory limit of 22 mg. 

He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, marking him the third public transport driver arrested for the offense in the past four months.
