A 29-year-old woman was sent to Yan Chai Hospital after she was bitten by a boar on Tai Mo Shan in the early hours of Saturday.

The attack occurred at around 2 am as the woman and her friends were camping out at Miu Ko Toi of Tai Mo Shan for the night.
The wild boar was said to have sunk its teeth into the woman’s right leg and fled the scene, leaving the woman with a 5cm wound.
Rescuers had to hike up Tai Mo Shan to reach the woman, before escorting her to the ambulance.
